Marketing and Sales
The successful marketing of a CDs to singers, parents, friends and family can partially or completely offset the cost of recording and replication.
What you'll do
-You set the CD sales price. I recommend between $18-$20/CD to have revenues cover expenses.

It's an important part of their legacy and of yours. And it can't be downloaded from iTunes.
- Here are sample order forms. Download the .doc or .pub form, update it with your concert information, price, who to make checks to and who will receive checks. You can then print it or send out electronically. The .pdf form can be printed, hand filled in and copies made with a copier.

- At the concert, set up a table and take orders for CDs just before and just after it. I strongly recommend paid orders only (while parents can pay for them easily). Two parent volunteers are best to service long lines quickly and handle money. Cash or checks made to the school or booster organization only. I will invoice the school or booster organization when I deliver all the CDs.
- Limit sales after the concert to 1-2 weeks. Interest tends to fall off quickly after the event.
- I will distribute a box of CDs to the music director several weeks following the concert. The director distributes them to the students.
What I'll do
- Digitally record the concert using 6-8 microphones; mix down and edit the concert, including noise reduction and added effects, and produce a professional master CD.
- [Optional] Shoot digital photos of the entire concert as well as backstage candids. I will select 200-300 of the best images and Photoshop them. These will be made into a slide show and made available on my web site. Here are some slide show samples:

Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra- [Optional] The really cool part is that I will put this digital slide show on the CD; simply insert in a PC to view them. This makes the ideal keepsake of this event because the pictures always stay with music.
- The CD cover and traycard will be designed by professional graphic designer, Mandie Sellars. Proof PDFs will be sent to you. You will review them, request any updates and finally approve them. Here are sample CD covers and traycards.
- I will create the finished CDs and send them to the director for distribution.
